  • Speaking at DPS 2020

I was lucky enough to attend the Data Platform Summit a few years ago. One of my favorite speaking photos was from the event.Me on a massive stage, massive auditorium and huge screen.

This year the event is virtual and I’m on the slate with a couple talks. I’m doing a blogging session and a DevOps session. Both are recorded, but I’ll be online for chat, and certainly available for questions later.

There are tons of sessions, with pre-cons, post-cons, and lots of sessions, running around the world. It’s inexpensive, so if you missed the PASS Summit or SQL Bits, join DPS. US$124.50 for the event and recordings. Pre/post cons are about $175.

Register today and I’ll see you there.

  • Azure DevOps at the Data Platform Summit 2020

I was lucky enough to go to the Data Platform Summit in 2017. I still have one of my favorite speaking pictures from the event:

I took my whole family and we enjoyed our time in India immensely. My wife asks me every year if we can go back.

We can’t this year, as the event is virtual, like so many others. However the DPS team is working to put on another great event. There will be:

    • 72 hours of content, 2 Dec – 4 Dec
    • Pre-cons, 30 Nov and 1 Dec
    • Post-cons, 7 Dec – 8 Dec
    • On-demand access to recordings.

All at a very reasonable US $109 Pre-cons are on sale for the next few weeks at $149.

I’ll be talking DevOps and there are lots more sessions to choose from throughout the conference with chalk talks and open talks available as well.

If you are looking for some late Q4 training, think about joining me at DPS 2020.

If you’re looking forward to 2021 and dreaming, think about a trip to India. It’s a fascinating place, and I hope to go back next year.

  • The 2017 Data Platform Summit

I’m off in a couple days to India for a week of vacation and then the 2017 Data Platform Summit. This is my first time attending, and I’m excited to go. A new country to visit and present in.

In addition to the sessions listed above, I’ve got a pre-con on Aug 15 on Building a Database DevOps process, and there are a few chalk talks as well. All in all, a busy week for me.

If you’re in the area, consider coming to the event. You can visit the conference site at http://dataplatformgeeks.com/dps2017/
