  • Chicago Database DevOps in a Day Workshop

I’m heading to Chicago today for the Redgate Database DevOps in a Day workshops. This is the first of many on the US tour. I’ll be at 5 of them, but there will be another 5 where Ryan, Grant, or our Solutions Engineers will run the show.

If you’ve registered, please say hi, introduce yourself, and ask lots of questions. Hopefully you’ll enjoy the day.

Just a quick trip for me, coming back tomorrow, which is good. I head to the UK Roadshow Friday night..

  • The Redgate DevOps Roadshow–Houston

I’m heading to Houston today for the Redgate Database DevOps in a Day workshops.

Just a quick trip for me, coming back Friday, which is good. I head to the Chicago DevOps in a Day workshop next week.

  • The DevOps Roadshow(s) from Redgate

I’m back from an office trip this week to Pasadena. I had the chance to go to the office, do some internal training for people, and spend time with our US reps and SEs. It’s valuable for me to get to know people better when I’m remote and I’m glad I get to the offices a time or two a year each.

However, now I’m prepping for more travel. In case you haven’t seen, I’m taking a roadshow this fall. Not just me, but Grant and Ryan as well.

We’re going around the country, and here are the dates I know about:

    • Houston – Aug 24 (Steve)
    • Chicago – Aug 30 – (Steve and Ryan)
    • Manchester, UK – Sep 4 (Steve)
    • Bristol, UK – Sep 6 (Steve)
    • New York – Sep 7 (Ryan or Grant)
    • London – Sep 8 (Steve)
    • Boston – Sep 20 (Steve)
    • Atlanta – Oct 11 (TBD, not Steve)
    • Jacksonville – Oct 19 (Grant)
    • San Diego – Oct 25 (Grant)
    • San Francisco – Nov 1 (Steve)
    • Seattle – Nov 13 (Steve)

It’s a busy travel schedule for me, but not a lot of work prepping, which is usually the hard part. Last week and this one are prepping (and likely next week), so it’s a little busy now.

I’m excited to visit these cities. I’m a little bummed I won’t make Jacksonville or San Diego as I have friends there, but those are vacation days for me to see my daughter at university. Maybe I’ll get back to those cities next year.

We don’t have all the links up yet (some are above), but they should be coming soon. Keep an eye on the Events page.

If you’re coming to the PASS Data Community Summit and don’t have a pre-con on Tuesday, consider coming to see me. Hopefully the reg will go up soon.

  • The 2023 Redgate UK DevOps Roadshow

Years ago Redgate did some traveling events under the SQL in the City brand. These were a lot of fun and kind of amazing. One of the longer tours also made me realize I would hate being in a musical band and touring.

However, I enjoyed the events and while we’ve moved on from that brand, we have a new one

    The Redgate DevOps Roadshow

The UK edition of this kicks off in September 2023 and I’ll be in these cities:

I’ll be traveling with one of our Sales Engineers (Chris Hawkins, I hope), and doing will day sessions for customers on the Flyway suite of tools. You’ll get some practice, learn how things work, and get answers to your questions. Hopefully that day, but if Chris and I don’t know, we’ll query the brilliant engineers back in Cambridge.

If you’ve ever attended a Redgate event, you know we put on a nice show, we take care of you, you’ll have plenty to eat and drink, and we have fun.

Hopefully I’ll see some of you in September in the UK.

Keep watching as well as we’re working on a US edition of this. I’ll do some of these, while Grant and Ryan will do others. I’ll keep my schedule updated as I get more info.
