A New Word: Chysalism

Chysalism – n. the amniotic tranquility of being indoors during a thunderstorm?

While I love the sun, I did enjoy thunderstorms when I lived in Virginia. Something neat about being inside, cozy, enjoying live while the weather outside has thunder, lightning, and rain creating chaos. It rarely happens in Denver, but I do usually appreciate when it does.

  1. Here in Texas you can see some absolutely magnificent lightening storms. Because of how flat and open the central part of Texas is you can see for a very long way and Texas has some crazy lightening storms; natures version of fireworks. There’s something different about this area as the clouds can at times be so breath taking I end up getting out of my car (on the way home) just to take pictures of the clouds.

We have some great lightning storms in CO, though not a lot of rain.

I do miss some of those neat storms. Had some great ones in VA, sitting on a boat or porch in the rain, watching lightning and enjoying the summer. In winter, I always appreciated a wood fire during thunderstorms.
