In a few weeks I’ll be heading to Amsterdam for a few events. I’ll be working for a day before a short train ride down to Utrecht, a place I’ve never been and am looking forward to visiting.
It’s a packed week with PASS On Tour, the Redgate Summit, and Data Saturday Holland. If you live in the EU, this is an easy way to learn a lot about different aspects of databases, see what others are working on or concerned about, and network with fellow professionals.
Plus it’s in the Netherlands. I’ve never been to Utrecht, but my wife and I love Amsterdam. In fact, she’s meeting me there and we’ll likely spend a few days before taking a holiday.
The PASS On Tour and Redgate Summits in New York were great. Lots of interesting talks, good conversations and questions, and some fantastic networking. Looking forward to the same in the Netherlands.

Steve – Any thoughts on the Fabricon Conference coming up in March of next year in Georgia? I looked at the event’s we site/page and was considering it but it concerned me how they price the thing. I’m accustomed to a fairly flat fee or charge (and sometimes the ability to purchase for just 1 of X days of an event) and sometimes you get a an option to pay a little more to access something special but this looks like their charging the sessions where you are taught things separately from sessions where you just listen to what’s new or what’s coming. Maybe this is very standard and I’m just not accustomed to it b/c I don’t go to many of these kinds of events. I want to get more into AZURE from my traditional on prem SQL Server background and I don’t want to waste money on something not worth it and I’ve come to learn you are quite the conference attendee having experience with many SQL related events globally.

looks like a standard conference and pre con days. They’re calling them workshops but this is like a precon. I think vs live also calls them workshops
